Mask Memo - Hockey PEI

2020-11-12

It has come to HPEI’s Board of Directors attention that some members are not following HPEI’s Return to Play Guidelines and Protocol’s. This memo is a reminder that at All HPEI sanctioned events, Masks are mandatory at all times within the spectator cohort, and are to be worn at appropriate times within the on ice cohort. This includes the proper wearing of masks for all bench staff and coaches.

This memo also serves as a reminder that HPEI’s Return to Play Protocols are to be followed for all HPEI sanctioned events. This means that individual leagues and/or facilities Covid-19 Protocols do not override HPEI’s Return to Play Document. Any violation of HPEI’s Return to Play Document will result in sanctions levied.

HPEI’s Board of Directors would also like to remind its membership that hockey is a privilege not a right. The 2020-2021 hockey season must look untraditional to guarantee Islanders can continue to enjoy the great game for the entirety of the season.

Regards,

Mike Hammill
