UPDATED PUBLIC HEALTH RESTRICTIONS ANNOUNCED

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – On Tuesday, the Chief Public Health Office (CPHO) announced new interim measures to reduce the spread and transmission of COVID-19. With the increased amount of cases announced today, the CPHO has imposed further Public Health restrictions that will come into effect at 8:00am tomorrow, Saturday, December 18th, 2021, until Saturday, January 8th, 2022.
As per this announcement, all Hockey PEI Minor Hockey sanctioned activities for U7 to U18 levels including practices, games, and any team events (on and off the ice) will be paused.
As a result, all Hockey PEI High Performance Program activities have also been suspended.
Hockey PEI is still seeking clarification from the CPHO in regard to the updated restrictions and its effects to our Junior Hockey Leagues. Further communication to follow.
